POST Discipline

According to the POST disciplinary proceedings, Hope N. Groesbeck had sexual intercourse with Officer Jacob W. Hager while on duty, in department vehicles in public locations. Both officers estimated that this occurred between 40 and 50 times during their sexual relationship, which lasted from October 2023 through June 2024.

Groesbeck resigned on June 26, 2024, before the investigation concluded. She did not attend the subsequent disciplinary hearing but was represented by counsel. The POST Council voted to suspend her peace officer certification for three and a half years.
